Gesfords Celebrate 60th Anniversary
Earl and Betty Gesford of Hershey recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Valentine’s Day. They were married Feb. 14, 1954, in Hagerstown, Md., by the late Rev. Harold Hahnlen.
Mrs. Gesford is the former Betty L. Cassel, daughter of the late Charles and Beatrice (Feidt) Cassel. She is retired from Lebanon Valley Family Medicine in Palmyra. Full Story

With heavy rain falling, Hershey was one of the few sports teams to play on Tuesday, April 15, taking its talents indoors and beating Chambersburg by a 5-0 score at the Hershey Racquet Club.
The win gave Hershey a perfect 9-0 record. The Trojans are 6-0 in the Keystone Division.
On Wednesday, April 9, Hershey beat Cumberland Valley by a 4-1 score at home. Full Story

Katharine G. “Cassie” Boyer, 79, of Spring Creek Rehab & Healthcare Center, Swatara Township, and formerly of Hummelstown, passed away Saturday, April 12, 2014, in the home. Born in Harrisburg on Feb. 8, 1935, she was the daughter of Clarence V. and Viola M. Seitz Gingrich. Full Story

James B. Dietrich, 54, formerly of Lebanon, died Friday, April 11, 2014, at Country Meadows of Hershey.
Until his diagnosis of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) or Lou Gehrig’s disease in 2013, he was an avid hiker, having climbed all 48 of the official peaks over 4,000 feet in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Full Story
